At about 8:35 PM MST, a call came through with a crazy unrecognizable prefix on the caller ID, which could mean only one thing, Nato and Ben were calling in from the Sat Phone. It was morning there, and the boys were checking in from their luxurious yurt accommodations somewhere in Mongolia. They sounded tired, and I daresay a little sluggish and/or hungover, but that could have just been the delay in the phone transmission. On the first day’s ride, they dodged some rain, but at the time of the call, they were heading out for day 2 of the tour to sunny blue skies. Nato said it was a little colder than he expected, but not too bad. The bikes they are riding are BMW F650 GS models, perfect for the roads and trails there, according to Nato.
